This is a pretty tight picture. The first thing that i notice is the coaches bright shirt in the center of the photo. The lanelines draw my eye in that direction and his shirt then catches my eye. The high angle on the photo creates a sense of observance on the team and also makes them seem a little worn down because they are so far below us. We are able to see the swimmers clearly and in detail but we can also see much of the environment such as the covered blocks and the lane reel in the back. This helps inform us tht this was without doubt a practice and not a meet because we can see the blocks and the gear and not ust the swimmers. This picture was most likely taken after a practice,possibly a particularly hard one which is implied from the swimmers hunched over or stretching. They have just gotten out of the water because their hair is still very wet and are most likely being debriefed before they go change.
